OSSMA

Havelock successfully handed over the Ormiston Sir Stanley Matthews Academy (OSSMA) to Wates Construction, on schedule, at the end of September 2012.

The £620k project was managed from the Alfreton office (which has now relocated to Mansfield). We delivered 47.27m3 of FSC or PEFC certified raw material, within the Furniture Fittings and Equipment package, manufactured at our Kirkcaldy facility.

OSSMA was the first academy in Stoke to open in a new building. The school specialises in Maths and Business Enterprise and will accommodate some 1200 pupils. The project featured an attractive interior colour scheme, mirroring the Stoke City football strip: the club is committed to working closely with the school on an on-going basis.

OSSMA will play a significant role in the regeneration of the Blurton community, in line with the City of Stoke-on-Trent’s vision for education that will transform lives through high quality teaching and learning, extended opportunities, raised aspirations and standards.
