Havelock’s first charity Fun Day for Cancer Research

We are delighted to share Havelock’s first charity Fun Day was an outstanding success, which raised an amazing £2,820.00 for Cancer Research UK.

This incredible figure could not have been achieved without everyone’s generosity, support and hard-work, and we would like to personal thank all those that gifted prizes, donated, sponsored and participated.

The 13th of March was a busy day at Havelock HQ, with various events ran throughout the day. Activities included a mini office style Olympic Games (congratulations to team HR for winning gold), a Dry Cracker Eating Competition and ‘Guess the Screws’ in the jar, which had a £50 restaurant voucher prize kindly donated by A.R.M Joinery & Glazing.

However, the key event that truly brought the team together was our charity cycle, John o’Groats to Land’s End without leaving Kirkcaldy... 863 miles covered!! Well done to everyone that took to the saddle! An amazing achievement and team effort we should all be proud of. Thanks to Bannatyne’s Dunfermline who sponsored this event and kindly donated bikes for the challenge.

Another highlight was the ‘Wet Sponge’ throwing event, which allowed staff to throw wet sponges at our Senior Team members. Not many people can claim to have thrown a wet sponge at their boss & got away with it! Thank you to our management team for being such great sports, Gordon McKenzie & Mark Lumsden who created the board and Signs Express who sponsored this event.

And if that wasn’t enough, we also held a Bake Sale and Raffle, which had some incredible prizes very kindly donated from Chez Scents, Adventure Golf Island, Xtreme Trampoline, Cluny Activities, Bedlam Paintball, Bliss Beauty, D&G Autocare, Kirsty Keenan Hair & Beauty, Carlo Valente, A-Game Lifestyle and Boogie Bounce Extreme. A big thank you also to Spotless Cleaning who donated a signed Iniesta football strip for our Silent Auction, and numerous other prizes for the raffle.

A very busy few days but worth every minute!

With the success of this event we aim to go bigger and better next year - so watch this space!!
