Despite increased tuition fees, student numbers continue to rise in the UK leading to a need for more student accommodation. According to AMA Research in 2017 the total construction output in the Higher Education sector was estimated to be worth around £3.9bn (public and private work) and forecast to rise to £4.2bn by 2022.

Currently, we are supporting the refurbishment and extension of Astor College (UCL) to bring its Halls of Residence up to a modern standard for those starting university this September. Working collaboratively with Galliford Try and the client design team, we are designing and delivering 292 student bedrooms, 46 shared kitchen areas and 94 vanity units shared across communal bathrooms and en-suite facilities.
At the University of Edinburgh, we provided a ‘home from home’ experience for students. Working with the main contractor Balfour Beatty, we delivered a complete FF&E fit-out package for the Holyrood Residences. We designed and manufactured the 1,160 modern modular bedrooms and study spaces for comfortable and practical student living, including all the bedroom furniture and loose furnishings.
